IT Smart Systems (ITSS) is collaborating with Feedzai, the global leader in AI-native, financial crime prevention, to unite Feedzai’s advanced, AI-driven, fraud prevention capabilities with ITSS’s deep expertise in digital banking integration and delivery.

By bridging these capabilities, the partnership supports financial institutions in securing modern payment flows without compromising the user experience, according to the vendors.

As financial crime becomes more sophisticated, banks and financial institutions are under growing pressure to balance strong risk management with seamless digital experiences. Through this partnership, ITSS now expands its portfolio with Feedzai’s RiskOps platform, adding advanced machine learning capabilities for fraud detection and anti-money laundering to its existing expertise in digital banking, payments, and enterprise integration, the companies said.

“This partnership is more than a new technology alliance. It represents the next step in ITSS’s strategic vision: combining digital banking, enterprise integration, payments, AI, and fraud prevention into a unified, complete ecosystem for financial institutions,” said Alex Cociu, executive partner at IT Smart Systems. “Our customers already trust us to modernize banking platforms, integrate complex payment infrastructures, and deliver omnichannel digital experiences. Now, together with Feedzai, we can also help them stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated financial crime through AI-powered fraud prevention and AML capabilities.”

By combining Feedzai’s global risk intelligence with ITSS’s 24 years of experience in digital banking and payment ecosystems, the partnership enables financial institutions to strengthen fraud prevention across the full payments journey, across all channels.

This marks a shift from traditional payment processing to proactive, AI-driven fraud prevention, specifically designed to secure the rise of instant payments and the future digital euro, the companies said.

Rather than treating fraud prevention as an isolated security layer, the approach embeds real-time risk decisioning directly into customer journeys, from digital onboarding and payment flows to transaction monitoring.

ITSS brings hands-on experience in integrating such capabilities across onboarding, omnichannel payments, SEPA flows, and KYC and AML processes, helping ensure fraud prevention is not a standalone layer but part of the overall digital experience.

Furthermore, the partnership significantly expands access to advanced RiskOps capabilities in Romania and the wider Central and Eastern European (CEE) region.

“AI is making scams more convincing and more scalable than ever,” said Maximilian von Criegern, general manager at Feedzai. “Behind every fraud loss is a person whose finances, ambitions, and future are affected. By partnering with ITSS, we’re strengthening defenses against evolving threats and helping protect customers from fraud before it happens.”
