Airtable Relaunches as AI-Native Platform, Introducing New Assistants and Agents

Airtable announced it is relaunching as an AI-native app platform where the magic of “vibe coding” meets enterprise reliability and the scalability of AI agents, automating thousands of hours of work in seconds.

With this rebrand, the company aims to redefine how businesses build and operate with AI, Airtable said.

Vibe coding by nature produces apps that look good (because that’s what the builder can iterate on without knowing how to read the underlying generated code), yet underneath could contain bugs, edge cases, and data/security leaks, according to the company.

That’s why the company is refounding Airtable as “the best of both paradigms: an agentic app building assistant called Omni that leverages production-ready app components.”

Because all Airtable’s existing pieces are already collaborative, scalable, and provide intuitive visual representations of data, logic, and interface layouts, builders can conversationally vibe generate the app they want but understand what’s been generated all the way down to the data and logic layer as well, with the security and enterprise-grade reliability of the Airtable platform.

Omni is more than just an app builder—it's a new way to interact with apps. It switches seamlessly from building apps to editing data. Omni respects user permissions, giving every user—whether they build apps, edit data, or just view—a conversational agent to handle whatever they need.

Omni can also perform advanced data analysis, including finding interesting patterns and insights across large volumes of data (e.g., customer feedback, call transcripts, reports, contracts), far beyond what fits into a single LLM context window.

In the AI-native Airtable, users can build apps that chain together multiple AI steps, along with human workflows. The result is a complete, operational AI system rather than a thin wrapper around AI calls. Creative production that used to take months now happens in minutes, according to the company.

Teams upload a campaign brief, and agents instantly generate multiple campaign concepts with production-quality visuals for each direction—social ads, banners, email headers, and more. Each asset can be customized by language, geography, or channel, giving creative teams a living mood board to guide their final decisions.

The new AI-native Airtable is the default experience for every new user and is rolling out to existing users now.
