Meta’s Llama 4 Models Now Available in Amazon Bedrock

AWS is announcing that Meta’s latest AI models—Llama 4 Scout 17B and Llama 4 Maverick 17B—are now available as a fully managed, serverless option in Amazon Bedrock. Meta’s AI models, introduced last month, strike a balance between performance, cost, and speed, improving performance and cost optimization across reasoning and image understanding tasks.

With availability of the Llama 4 Maverick 17B and Llama 4 Scout 17B on Amazon Bedrock, developers gain access to two powerful models with enterprise-grade security and privacy. To learn more about Meta’s latest models, please read this article.

“These new foundation models (FMs) deliver natively multimodal capabilities with early fusion technology that you can use for precise image grounding and extended context processing in your applications,” said Danilo Poccia, chief evangelist (EMEA) at AWS. “The Llama 4 models can be easily integrated into your applications using the Amazon Bedrock Converse API, which provides a unified interface for conversational AI interactions.”

Llama 4 Maverick 17B and Llama 4 Scout 17B can be implemented across a variety of use cases, from building intelligent agents to multilingual chat assistants, image analysis for customer support, or multimodal research applications. The models support twelve languages for text, including English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Arabic, Indonesian, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, and English for image processing.

The Llama 4 models are now available in Amazon Bedrock in the U.S. East (N. Virginia) and U.S. West (Oregon) AWS Regions.
